If you’ve decided you’re ready for your 5-11 year old to get the COVID shot, you can start dating here today.
The CDC has recommended that children between the ages of 5 and 11 start getting the vaccine as soon as possible. At this point, they recommend the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine. The dosage is a little smaller for children of this size.
If you choose to have your child vaccinated, you can make an appointment at select Rite Aid stores, Walgreens (from Saturday 11/5) and Wegman’s Pharmacy (from Friday 11/4). If you are considering choosing one of these locations for your vaccination, you will need to make an appointment first.
Keep in mind that an adult will need to make an appointment for the minor and that the adult will have to accompany the minor when the vaccine is administered.
