José Paz López Elenes proposes a drug trafficking museum in the municipality of Badiraguato, Sinaloa.
In a video circulating on social networks, the Municipal President proposes to reveal the personalities of the leaders of drug trafficking.
A drug trafficking museum could eventually be set up in Badiraguato, said municipal president José Paz López Elenes.
The mayor of Badiraguato pointed out in a video circulating on social networks that, given the project to build the museum in this municipality, this problem cannot be ruled out.
“We can’t deny our history, we have to recognize it and we’re going to work on that basis,” he said during the video.
“It is possible that we could have a museum of drug trafficking, we are not closed to the idea, we will listen to all questions, we are a government that listens to all voices, we are a government that will push for economic development to reach the municipality and that we manage to overcome this stigma of drug trafficking by pushing economic development in favor of the municipality,” he said.
During the video, which is less than a minute long, the mayor pointed out that it was still unclear what characters or “big personalities” might be inside this museum.
“I still do not have a clear vision of what we could find there, we will listen to museum specialists so that they guide us, but we are not closed to any proposal, if they guide us, we can come with a good project. If a Narco-Museum is to benefit the people of Badiraguato, we can also promote the government’s initiative,” he continued.
