We did it in Cape Town! Our majestic Table Mountain has officially won another international award – ‘Africa’s Best Tourist Attraction 2022’ – for the fourth consecutive year.
The World Travel Awards (WTA) are widely recognized around the world as the “Oscars” of the travel and tourism industries.
The WTA first round focuses on regional accolades, before choosing the best in the world. The prizes for the Africa categories were revealed today.
The winners announced they held Table Mountain among other African giants such as South Africa’s Blue Train which won ‘Africa’s Leading Luxury Train 2022’, Tanzania’s Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti which won ‘Africa’s Leading Luxury Safari Lodge 2022″ and Kenya’s Manda Bay which won ‘Africa’s Best Private Island Resort 2022’.
But that’s not all people…
The Mother City managed to pick up a few more prizes in the Africa category:
- The cap: ‘Africa’s Leading City Destination 2022’ for the second consecutive year, among a long list of previous awards since 1998
- Cape Town International Airport: “First airport in Africa 2022” for the sixth consecutive year
- The Silo Hotel: “Africa’s Best Design Hotel 2022”, “Africa’s Best Luxury Hotel 2022” and “South Africa’s Best Luxury Hotel 2022”
