SATTE 2022 opens with over 36,000 qualified travel industry experts and foreign participation

Tourism industry experts participated in SATTE 2022, organized by B2B Expo Organizer Informa Markets at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. As many as 36,000 buyers and industry visitors across multiple verticals such as travel, wedding planning and corporate travel attended the three-day event with business opportunities.

International destinations like Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mauritius Tourism Authority, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, New Zealand, Korea South, Utah, Israel, Turkey, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Visit Brussels, Miami, Zimbabwe, Los Angeles and many others exhibited at the exhibition in an effort to attract players from the Indian travel in these countries.

Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and others marked their presence at the expo.

Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Tourism, Dr. M. Mathiventhan, Minister of Tourism, Govt. from Tamil Nadu; Rupinder Brar, Addl. Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. from India; Subhash Goyal, Member, National Advisory Council, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. from India; Yogesh Mudras, MD, Informa Markets India and Pallavi Mehra, Group Director, Informa Markets India were among the dignitaries who were present for the inauguration ceremony today.

Shripad Yeso Naik, Minister of State for Tourism, Government of India said, “The travel and tourism industry is one of the largest economic sectors in the world. It has had a huge growth spurt in the post-pandemic period and is expected to build on its momentum and continue on its path to revival. He also credited the expo with becoming a hub for entrepreneurs to share ideas and knowledge and find “well-crafted solutions to accelerate the growth of the travel industry.”

Yogesh Mudras, managing director of Informa Markets in India, said the tourism industry is in recovery mode from the aftermath of Covid-19 and India is open for business and travel. Feeling optimistic that SATTE will reinforce the vision of “Atmanirbharta”, he added: “Equitable and sustainable growth and greater integration of new technological solutions are goals that must be achieved by the tourism industry” .

The SATTE event also offers a series of lectures on topics such as Indian Tourism: The Road Ahead! ; Cinema & Tourism: Enhance the image of the destination; Outbound tourism: refreshing, rebuilding, redefining strategies; Ayurveda and wellness tourism: the great opportunity for tourism in India; ICPB Conference on MICE and Travel Technologies: Making the Future Perfect.
